Snowbird season fills Naples; May through October is when the house actually sits empty

People in Greater Naples search “snowbird home security Naples,” “empty house alarm Collier County,” and “ADT for seasonal residents” because the calendar here is not a Midwest calendar. Season is roughly November through April. That is when Fifth Avenue is full, when Pelican Bay parking lots are full, and when a lot of owners are actually in the house. May through October is when those same houses sit empty. Occupancy is the product. Professional monitoring is how an empty lanai still has a person at a center if a slider opens in August.

Home Security Systems Naples is the local order line. SafeStreets is the ADT Authorized Provider that installs. ADT monitors 24/7. Call (239) 439-6005 with the ZIP, house versus condo, cameras yes or no, and a leftover-keypad photo. There is no contact form that arms the house after you fly north.

November through April is season; May through October is the empty stretch

The dates are not a statute. They are how this metro actually lives. Owners arrive in the fall. Guests arrive. Restaurants fill. Then April comes and the northbound flights fill instead. A Park Shore condo that was noisy in February can be silent in July. A Golden Gate Estates house that had golf carts in the driveway in March can sit with the blinds down until Thanksgiving. That empty stretch is why people order ADT, not because a brochure said “hurricane.”

Year-round residents have empty hours too — school days, downtown work, a Saturday on the water — but snowbirds stack weeks and months. Unsupervised hours are the quote fact. We will ask when you leave. We will not lecture you on barrel tile. We will count the slider, the garage, the dock door, and the golf-cart bay.

If you are already north and reading this on a phone in Ohio, the order is still the 239 call. Same-day or next-day when the calendar is open still needs someone with a key at the house. A caretaker, a neighbor, a family member who stayed. We do not professionally install through a lockbox we cannot reach. Say who will be there.

Arm the system when you fly north — that is the whole instruction

A professionally installed system that is not armed is a keypad. Arm it from the app at the jet bridge or from the driveway before the airport run. Show a caretaker how to arm it after a lawn visit. Put that caretaker on ADT’s call list so a trip in July does not go only to a Michigan number on silent. Indoor sensors plus 24/7 monitoring is the product whether you are on Gulfshore Boulevard or already in Detroit.

People leave a leftover keypad on the wall and call that a plan. A leftover keypad is not ADT. A builder leftover is usually not ADT. Photograph it before you pull it. Order monitoring. Then arm it. Leftover keypad after a Naples closing is that article. This article is the empty calendar.

Yard signs, timers on lamps, and a neighbor who “keeps an eye out” are not a monitoring center. They can be part of a call list. They cannot request help the way ADT can when a door opens at 2 a.m. on an empty Golden Gate lot. Do both. Do not skip the 239 call because a neighbor is kind.

Homeowner promotion versus short-term rental — say which one you actually run

Promotional offers on this site are for homeowners. Landlords who own the property can order. Tenants cannot use the homeowner promotion. Snowbirds who own the house and leave it empty are still homeowners. Paying guests who come and go on a lockbox calendar are a different occupancy pattern. Say it before anyone talks about $53.99/mo*. We will not pretend a vacation-rental week is a homeowner empty summer.

If family uses the house in July, that is still your house. Put them on the app. If cleaners come every two weeks, give them a code you can see and change. If you list the house on a short-term site, say so. The four promotional plans, the $99 install on many plans, and the $850 free-alarm promo on qualifying monitoring* all sit on homeowner rules, a 36-month agreement, early termination fees, and credit approval. Equipment counts vary. None of that is a guest-program.

A Park Shore condo board that bans short-term rentals is not ADT. A Pelican Bay rule about guests is not Collier registration. Indoor sensors still work. Cameras may not if the board says no. House versus condo is the fork after the ZIP. Rental versus owner-empty is the fork after that.

Lanai sliders, docks, boats, and golf carts are openings, not décor

Count the lanai slider. Every Greater Naples house that has one will pretend the cage is a wall. It is not. A screen cage stops bugs. It does not stop a person. Pelican Bay, Park Shore, Lely, and Estates lanais are how people actually enter when the front door is for show. Put a contact on the slider you use. Test it before you fly north. A stuck magnet after a summer of humidity is a false alarm waiting for a letter.

Dock-side doors on Aqualane Shores, Royal Harbor, Port Royal, and Marco Island lots are the opening people forget because they are thinking about the boat. The boat is not the alarm. The door to the dock is. If you leave a vessel, say so. We still monitor the house, not the hull. A camera on a lift is a Complete+ conversation and an HOA conversation. A contact on the dock door is a Secure+ conversation. Start with the door.

Golf-cart bays in Grey Oaks, Mediterra, Quail West, TwinEagles, IslandWalk, and The Vineyards are garages with a nicer name. Count them. A cart left in a dark bay from May to October is inventory. The bay door is the sensor. Indoor monitoring does not follow the cart down Immokalee Road. It follows the door you left shut.

Packages, stoops, and cameras you may not be allowed to hang

Old Naples, Lake Park, and Coquina Sands stoops still collect boxes while you are north. A doorbell is useful. A doorbell without a door sensor is a picture of a theft you watch later. Complete+ is $74.99/mo*. Some camera quotes leave the $99 install. Some do not. Ask. Pelican Bay, Grey Oaks, Mediterra, and some Park Shore boards limit street-facing cameras. Indoor sensors plus ADT 24/7 is still a complete system when the board says no. A gate is not monitoring.

Cameras yes or no belongs on the snowbird call because empty months are when people suddenly want video. Video without a center is a hobby you check at lunch from Chicago. Video on a monitored system is extra eyes on a product that already calls you. Start with doors. Add video if you want it and the association allows it.

Packages are not the only summer loss people care about. Tools in a garage, a bike, a freezer full of fish, a golf cart. Occupancy hours cover those better than a camera you cannot hang. We will not quote a twelve-camera grid unless you ask. We will count the garage.

City paper and county paper still run while you are gone

City of Naples Sec. 20-34 still bills false alarms if Naples Police responds to an empty Old Naples cottage. First in six months is $0 plus a written report within three working days after notice. Second is $10. Third and later are $75, with disconnection language if you do not take corrective action. Unpaid fees can draw 12 percent interest and can become a lien. We have not found a published annual City of Naples residential user-permit dollar amount. We will not invent $15 or CryWolf.

Unincorporated Collier still wants the owner registered with the Sheriff’s False Alarm Bureau — that is the July 12, 2017 change. First two registered false alarms in 180 days are $0. Unregistered second is $25 plus $25. Third or fourth is $75. Ninth or more is $200. Confirm the 5th–8th steps with the bureau if a letter arrives; the code publishes $100 and $150 in the middle, and you should still match the citation you got. A $5 certificate can void one trip, not a seventh or higher. Support: (877) 672-1386, [email protected], colliersheriff.org. You file it. We name the office from the ZIP. Monitoring is separate.

Marco Island and Bonita Springs confirm at their own desks. Do not file city paper on a Marco house. Do not skip Collier registration on a Golden Gate house because you spend summer in Michigan. File in the week after install. Put a local contact on the call list so a false trip does not become a third letter you never saw. City versus Collier desks is the long permit article.

FPL, LCEC, and the empty house in a storm week

FPL serves most of the City of Naples. LCEC serves Marco Island, Everglades City, pockets of North Naples, Immokalee, and Ave Maria. Confirm from the ZIP and the bill. Cellular backup is how ADT still sees the alarm if power or Wi-Fi drops while you are north. We will not invent an outage-minute number. Hurricane Ian in September 2022 and later Gulf storms are why this sentence exists. Monitoring during an outage is the point, not scare copy.

A leftover panel with no live cellular path does nothing useful in a dark Golden Gate house in August. Photograph it. Order monitoring. Ask the cellular question on the 239 call. FPL and LCEC backup is the outage article. Arm the system before the storm, not after you see a satellite loop from Cleveland.

Generators, shutters, and impact glass are not ADT. They are other jobs. Indoor sensors still belong on the doors you did not shutter from 1,200 miles away. A caretaker who can close a slider after wind is a call-list person. A caretaker without an armed system is a person looking at a dark keypad.

What the snowbird quote actually sounds like

ZIP first. House versus condo. When you leave and when you return. Who has a key in summer. Cameras yes or no. Leftover keypad photos. Then the four promotional numbers: Secure+ $53.99*, Smart+ $63.99* (most popular for people who let a caretaker in without shipping a key), Complete+ $74.99*. Many plans have a $99 install*. Typically 36 months. Early termination fees. Homeowners only. Equipment counts vary. We do not use $53.99 leftover pricing.

Smart+ is popular with snowbirds because the lock and the app are how a lawn person gets in without a rock key. Complete+ is popular when packages and a driveway sit empty for months. Secure+ is enough if you want doors and the lanai and nothing on the street. Secure+ is the smoke or CO add on a house that sits closed in heat. All four are professionally installed. All four are monitored by ADT 24/7. How much ADT is in Naples is the money. How to order is the call. Packages is the four-plan card. Contact is still a phone number, not a form.

Same-day or next-day when the calendar is open. If you want the system live before the April flight, say the flight date. If you already flew, say who meets the technician. We will not pad a three-week wait to sound exclusive. We will not invent a rush fee because season is ending.

Neighborhood empty patterns we actually schedule

Old Naples, Port Royal, Aqualane, Royal Harbor, Coquina Sands, Lake Park: stoop packages, more openings, prior-owner leftover keypads, usually City of Naples paper if the ZIP is in-city. Photograph the panel. Count the dock door. Indoor first.

Park Shore and The Moorings: condo versus house, association camera limits, two doors and a lanai, leftover hallway plastic. Do not pull a board-owned panel. Gate is not monitoring.

Pelican Bay, Bay Colony, Vanderbilt Beach, Naples Park: gated snowbird empties, board rules, caretaker codes from the last owner that you should change. Indoor sensors still work when cameras do not.

Grey Oaks, Mediterra, Quail West, Pelican Marsh, The Vineyards, TwinEagles, IslandWalk, The Quarry: golf-cart bays, lanai cages, HOA camera rules, longer empty driveways. Smart+ is the caretaker plan. Complete+ is the driveway plan if the board allows it.

Golden Gate and Golden Gate Estates: builder leftovers that are usually not ADT, garages, summer-empty two-stories, Collier Sheriff registration. Photograph the option-sheet keypad. Order monitoring. Arm it in April.

Marco Island: LCEC, different police desk, dock doors, seasonal empties. Bonita Springs: Lee County desk, confirm from 34134 or 34135. Immokalee and Ave Maria: confirm 34142, often LCEC, same 239 line. We name the office. You file it.

School-year empties are a second calendar, not a snowbird substitute

Year-round families in Pine Ridge, Pelican Marsh, Lely, and Golden Gate still leave houses empty on Collier County Public Schools days — Naples High, Barron Collier, Gulf Coast, and the rest of that clock. That is occupancy too. It is not season. It is 7:30 a.m. to pickup. Smart+ is popular because people arm from the car. A doorbell is packages. Indoor sensors are the house. We still ask ZIP, house versus condo, cameras, leftover keypad.

Do not skip monitoring in summer because “we are here all year.” You are not in the house at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday. Do not skip monitoring in winter because “the neighbors are back.” Neighbors are not ADT. Two calendars can exist on one Golden Gate street: a snowbird empty from May to October, and a school-day empty from August to May. The same three plans cover both. The same 239 call orders both.

We will not write a school-ratings essay. We will not write an architecture essay. We will count unsupervised hours. That is the sales fact. That is the info fact. That is why this journal post exists next to the leftover-keypad post and the permit post.

What we will not do with snowbird copy

We will not treat a short-term rental as a homeowner promo. We will not pretend a Pelican Bay gate is 24/7 ADT. We will not invent a City of Naples user-permit dollar amount. We will not file Collier registration for you while you are in Michigan. We will not hide 36 months or early termination because you “only winter here.” If you might sell in fourteen months, say so before $53.99*. We will not take the order on a web form. We will not promise a rush truck on a banner. We will not mill Everglades City as if it were season on Fifth Avenue.

We will not tell you Naples is unsafe so you will buy. Empty houses, porch packages, leftover keypads, dock doors, golf-cart bays, and FPL or LCEC outages are why people actually call. Occupancy is the product. House versus condo, ZIP, cameras yes or no, leftover keypad yes or no. Arm it when you fly north.

We will not claim a boat is monitored because the house is. We will not claim a cart is monitored because the bay door is. We will not claim a camera you are not allowed to hang is included in Secure+. We will not use $53.99. We will not imply ADT corporate retail is this dealer site. Home Security Systems Naples takes the order. SafeStreets installs. ADT monitors.

Before you leave in April: a short list that is actually yours

Walk the house with the system armed and then disarmed so you trust the app. Test the lanai slider, the garage, the dock door, and the golf-cart bay. Put a local human on the call list. Change codes the last owner knew. File the desk the ZIP named. Ask the cellular question so a summer outage still reaches ADT. Schedule any leftover-keypad replace before you fly, or have the caretaker meet SafeStreets when the calendar is open.

Then fly. Arm it from the phone. That is the product working. If you do not have the product yet, call (239) 439-6005. ZIP, house versus condo, cameras, leftover keypad photo, and when the house sits empty. Same-day or next-day when the calendar is open. Home Security Systems Naples. SafeStreets professionally installs. ADT monitors 24/7 while Greater Naples is quiet from May through October and while it is loud from November through April. Either calendar is a reason to order. The empty one is the reason people actually pick up the phone.
