ADT watches the house while you are north from May to October
When a sensor trips, ADT can call you and request help. That is the reason to order professional monitoring instead of a camera you check yourself from Ohio.
What ADT monitoring does on a Collier night
ADT watches the system 24 hours a day from U.S. monitoring centers. If a door opens while you are armed, or a smoke detector goes off, a person can call you and, when it is appropriate, request police or fire.
A camera you watch on your phone is useful for an Old Naples porch package. It is not the same thing. You cannot always pick up. ADT can — at 2 a.m., during a Fifth Avenue dinner, or while you are north until November.
The system can still reach ADT if FPL, LCEC, or the Wi-Fi is out. FPL covers most of the City of Naples. LCEC covers Marco Island, North Naples pockets, Immokalee, and Ave Maria. Hurricane Ian in 2022 is why backup is named on the quote — not scare copy.
Coverage is local. Same-day or next-day SafeStreets install is often available in these 14 ZIPs. Alarm paperwork changes with the ZIP: City of Naples Sec. 20-34 false-alarm fees (we do not invent an annual user-permit dollar amount), CCSO False Alarm Bureau in unincorporated Collier, Marco Island PD, Bonita Springs through the sheriff. We name the office on the quote.
